Tools to support service closures – visualizing your district via mapping

Dear GuideK12 customers :

These are extraordinary times for all of us. We are reaching out on several communication platforms to make sure that you know we are here to assist.
We are hearing from clients that GuideK12 is a valuable tool for remote servicing decisions. Please let us know what you are working on and we will work with you to expedite whatever you need. These times are unique and require creative solutions, so if you’ve used GuideK12 to solve an issue in the past few weeks, we’d love to hear from you. Understanding your successes will make sure we are able to help other districts facing similar issues. We are all in this together.

The following are examples of what other districts are using GuideK12 for right now as it relates to school closures due to COVID-19 and service disruptions:

Food Distribution Maps: Mapping economically challenged students to determine best food distribution points to ensure reasonable proximity to all in need. GuideK12 can even create zones around those distribution points so you can map which is the closest location for each student and all addresses in your district.
Food Distribution Locations: Determining other distribution locations options when physical distribution points aren’t possible or as shelter in place orders dictate
Community Communications: Utilizing SchoolSearch to help families find which food distribution point is closest to their home
Contact Lists: Creating quick contact lists for students with SEL needs for counselors and others doing remote outreach or any other student group identified in the SIS
Summer Enrichment: Determining Summer Enrichment Locations when the time is right to discuss
The bottom line is we know we are all working through things we didn’t expect to be navigating and it is a difficult time for all school leaders and your students. GuideK12 will support you in any way we possibly can to help make your decisions easier and to better serve your student community. Just let us know what you need.

Thank you,

The GuideK12 team
